We had a disappointing Dr's appointment yesterday. Brayli only weighed 6lbs 4oz. She lost a little over 1 oz since her last check. She was 6lbs 5oz last Thursday. That was with feeding her about every 2.5 hours. Of course with my baby blues I cried right there for all to see. How frustrating to put so much into nursing and not see the benefit for my baby. She now is a fan of Enfamil! She gulped that first bottle down so quick you would have thought I was starving her. Oh wait, I was. I now pump to try and get some more milk in and so we can measure how much she is actually getting. We may just have a formula baby. :( We tried!!!! Hopefully by Friday she will have a little more fat on her bones. That will be her fourth Dr's appointment before she's even two weeks old. Good thing I like and trust the Dr's and nurses at Treasure Valley Pediatrics. I'm so glad I work there and can get the help we need.
Dad got to feed her the first bottle!

More teasers
We've survived the first week as a family of three. All I can say is no matter how ready and prepared you think you are there is always the unexpected! From Brayli losing weight and having to be woke up and fed every TWO hours, to me dealing with baby blues. Matthew has had to adjust to two crying girls in the house. Overall it has been a great week. We love our little girl so much and feel so blessed to have her in our family. Here are a few more pictures.

Snoozing with Dad. Notice the socks on her hands. I always disliked seeing babies like this but its better than scratches all over her face.
One week old--Waking up with a smile on her face. Her dimples are starting to show more. We love it!!

Baby Names
We still haven't decided on a name. I know we don't have much time. Because I know a lot of pregnant people right now I thought I would share a cool website my cousin showed me. It's babynamewizard.com. You can set your search settings for names that start/end with certain letters or say letters you don't want it to start or end with. Also specify length and syllables. Then it shows you how popular the name is according to year and the states where that name is most common. Check it out. You won't be disappointed! Thanks Shane!
More Presents!
Day 12: A monkey backpack/leash. With how active she is already I'm sure we will get a lot of use out of this once she starts walking!
Day 15: More clothes! The dress is size 12M and the one-piece is 3-6 M. She's got a closet full of clothes until she's 1!
Day 16: A fun musical toy. We're interested in why the moon only has one eye. Kinda weird. Oh well, it will still be fun to play with and babies don't know most things have two eyes.
This is my big accomplishment for the today. I managed to paint my toe nails all by myself! It's not my best painting but I'll take what I can get. Hopefully it will last a couple weeks.
Bessy & Touille
I realized I've been neglecting our dogs in the blogging world so here is a little update about them. They love going to the new off leash dog park. It's only a few minutes away from our house which makes it nice. We go almost every night. (Partially because Matthew thinks if I walk a lot it will induce labor. That would be nice.) The park is pretty nice so far. They are still working on it. I took these pics on Matthew's phone one night. Not many other dogs were there. We see a lot of the same people when we go. It's nice for the dogs but I don't always like when their owners try and be social. Some of them are a little weird. Here is a pic of them wandering around.
There is a fenced area in the middle of the park that will eventually be fixed up nice and have a big pond I think. It's a lot of weeds right now but the dogs like the water in the stream that was already there prior to the park being built. Bessy even gets in (or falls in) occasionally.
Here they are saying hi to a weird looking dog.

Another thing they enjoy doing is play fighting. It gets a little scary every once in a while but they haven't injured each other yet. Bessy gets her whole mouth around Touille's neck and holds her down. The only way Touille can get out is by biting Bessy's ear. If you watch closely you can see what I mean.
