Brayli has recently learned her birthday and when asked either replies, "August 15th" or "15th of August." I love when she says the latter. It's so cute. Anyways, as you can imagine, we've been asking her a lot lately, "when's your birthday" so she's been saying August a lot. The other night when we were signing songs before bed we sang, "I am a Child of God." We got to the end of the song and Brayli says, "teach me August I must do" Pretty close Brayli!! The real words are, "teach me all that I must do." We sure love our Brayli girl and all the fun things she says as she learns new words. I will post more about her after her 2 yr well check in a couple weeks.

B & B
Brayli loves being a big sister and tries to take care of Broxon as much as she can. We thought we were lucky that she wasn't jealous but I've decided it's a lot of work when she wants to be so involved. They can't be left alone for longer than probably 2 seconds. And even that's pushing it. Brayli has been caught lifting him up, swinging him extra high in his swing, climbing in both of his bassinets, hugging him extremely tight and the list goes on and on. It's all with good intentions but a little scary some days. She's learning to be more gentle though. Hopefully her love for him will continue throughout their lives. This post is all pictures of them together.
Broxon was 2 days old here.
On this occasion she climbed in then pretended to be asleep so she wouldn't get in trouble.
Then she made her giggle face because she thought she was so smart and funny! Very clever Brayli!
She still loves to hold him. When she says, "I want to see him," she means I want to hold him and hopefully I won't smooth him.
Brayli telling Brox, "It's all right"
That didn't work, so she shoved a binky in his mouth instead.
Teaching him the letter "B" for their names
Bath tub kisses
So much LOVE! It's fun watching them interact. We're excited for the upcoming months when Broxon will start to play more with Brayli. I think/hope they will be good friends.
Broxer Boy
Our little Broxon is growing up so fast. On Monday he will be 2 months old on Brayli's 2nd birthday. I think the time goes by even faster with the second child. Here are a few recent pictures of "Broxer Boy." That is the name the Brayli gave to him but it usually sounds more like "Boxer Boy"
His long hair goes curly in the tub-or into a mohawk for fun.
I think it's almost time for his first haircut. There is a long spot in the back that bothers me if I pay too much attention to it. It will probably get straighten out soon.
4 generation picture with my mom and Granny Black.
The smiles just keep coming from out cute boy. He is such a happy baby and we all love him sooo much.
Brayli's 2nd Birthday
As most of you know, Brayli LOVES the movie Tangled and quotes many of the lines so we decided to have a Tangled birthday party this year. We had her party Friday night and My Grandparents pool. Her actual birthday is on Monday the 15th.
My mother-in-law helped me decorate the cake. I think it turned out great. It was difficult to make the top of the tower and extremely difficult to transport it from my house to my grandmas. That drive has never seemed so long!
Thankfully the cake made it to the party without falling apart!
Other food served was grapes and watermelon in frying pans. If you've seen Tangled you should remember the frying pan scenes. I also made blue jello with orange slice sail boats from the lantern scene at the end of the movie. I made Pascal party blowers found here. The kids liked those. I found a great deal at Pier 1 and got a "magic flower" and lanterns. I realized afterwards that I didn't even get pics of my lanterns that I had hanging. Darn!
Birthday girl enjoying a cupcake.
We opened presents after she had a cupcake. Here are a few that Matthew actually got pictures that included the present too. Not just Brayli. I guess I better give more specific directions next time!
A princess ball from Great Aunt Joy and Great Uncle Mitch
A Disney book from Chad & Brittney (her 2nd cousins or something like that)
A hand painted stool from Grandma Susan
Brayli doing her ballerina dance in her new tutu from Aunt Kimi, Uncle Chris, and Campbell
Brayli trying to figure out how to use the Pascal blower.
She figured it out pretty quick and used it to "lick" her pig standing on the tower.
