Silly Monkey

Kimi bought this backpack/"leash" for Brayli when I was still pregnant as part of my last 30 days presents. I put it on her the other night to test it out before Germany. She LOVES it!

She walked around it in all night and actually cried when I took it off. She LOVES to play with anything that has buckles.
ONLY 13 days until we fly to GERMANY! We are going with my siblings and parents. 12 of us total-including the 2 babies. I'm excited and scared at the same time. We fly home on Brayli's 1st birthday!

4th of July

We weren't sure how Brayli would like the 4th of July this year but decided to to the traditional Melba Celebration with the rest of the family. My dads brothers and sister and their families ALL came this year. Seven sibs total plus spouses and kids. We had a huge group!
It was pretty cold so Brayli's cute outfit was covered with a jacket. Oh well. She enjoyed watching the parade. But most importantly she enjoyed the candy! She found where I was stashing it and decided to pick out a piece.
Luckily Dad was holding her so she actually got to taste it. I'm not sure if I would have been as nice. She picked out a sucker and just let it sit in her mouth while she sucked on it. Occasionally she would pull it out, look at it, then put it back in. Good thing it was a yellow sucker so it didn't stain!!
Here is Brayli in her snuggle jammies ready for the fireworks. She looks happy but about 10 minutes later we were in the car driving home. As soon as the fireworks started she started crying and we couldn't calm her down. We sit in a yard that shares a fence with the football field where they have the fireworks so we basically have front row seats. It is VERY loud! Poor baby girl. Maybe we will get to stay for the whole show next year

Soccer Star!

Ok maybe not quite yet but someday she will be. Matthew is teaching her early that she needs to love soccer. She already knows how to kick the ball but hasn't quite caught on to the no hands rule.

Isn't she such a great Walker!
(No pun intended)

Reading and Talking

This is after Brayli's bath. I but her in her robe while I was finding clothes to put on her and caught her reading "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." She likes to put her fingers in the holes in the food.

This was the other day when Matthew was making breakfast. Brayli just recently started saying da-da. She said it a long time ago then stopped for a while but now she doesn't stop when he's around. By the way she LOVES diced strawberries!!!

10 months old!

I can't believe Brayli is 10 months old today. About half way through the day I realized it was the 15th. Wow! Time sure goes FAST!

A couple Saturdays ago I checked craigslist and found some yard sales with infant girl clothes and toys and ended up with these great items. Brayli still LOVES to squint her eyes when she sees the camera. It's cute but getting annoying. I just want a good picture of her smiling at me!
I think I ended up with 10 pairs of shoes, 3 pj's, 1 book, 1 dress, 3 pairs of pants, 1 jacket, 1 swim suit, 1 pair of shorts, 3 shirts, 1 umbrella stroller (It's for Germany so we don't have to haul her big one around), 1 bike seat, and a little play table that plays about a million annoying songs but Brayli LOVES it and dances to all the songs. Any guesses on how much I spent???

ONLY $37. Matthew thinks that was too much but I thought I did pretty good. 10 pairs of shoes alone would cost way more that that. Or paying full price for any of the larger items. Men don't realize how much things cost.

And here are a few others fun pics since I haven't updated in a while.
Brayli trying out her new bike seat. She kept kicking me. Her legs are a bad length right now. No more rides until we find an infant helmet though. They are tough to find. Toys R' US has one but we haven't made it that far yet. Bryali LOVED her short test ride though so we better get a helmet quick!

Watching Dad with his new Evo phone that he thinks is the most wonderful thing in the world right now. Watch and learn. . .

Dialing a number on my phone.

Saying "Hi" So cute!! She holds everything up to her ears to "talk". Usually its a remote control or one of our old phones that she finds in her toy basket. Maybe Matthew and I shouldn't talk on our phones soo much.

Look Who's Walking Now

I'm not sure why I haven't taken a video until now but here is Brayli at 9 1/2 months taking a few steps. She's getting pretty brave and it probably won't be long before she's on her own. Imagine her in 2 months walking the isle of the plane on the way to Germany. LOOK OUT!!!

Eye Squint

Here is a video of Brayli doing her eye squinting. This particular night she thought she would add a weird mouth to her look too. All I can say is she's such a silly girl. Always making us laugh!
